Arts Alive and Transitions: Student Exhibitions at the BAG

Arts Alive and Transitions are exhibitions of student art on display at the 91资源全集 Art Gallery until June 9. A nearly 40 year partnership with the gallery (BAG) has helped elevate the opportunities for our students.

This year, Arts Alive features student work from Kindergarten to Grade 7. Transitions showcases the creations of Grade 11 and 12 students, who are part of the gallery鈥檚 Artist Apprenticeship Program. They received guidance to develop and curate an exhibition of their own artwork.聽The program also supports students with aspirations to pursue a career in the fine arts.

Art helps students develop critical skills such as communication, innovation, and creativity.聽Additionally, Arts Alive explores the relationship between math and art 鈥 this is one example of how curriculum can intersect.

Visit BAG to see 鈥淎rts Alive & Transitions 2019鈥 on until June 9. Entrance is by donation.聽The exhibitions are impressive, thought provoking, and worth the visit. More information about the Gallery鈥檚 hours and location can be found
